DESCRIPTION:March 25: G I A N T S! at the Preston Historical Society\, 167 Main Street. Preston. 6-7pm. Terry Crannell\, of Dorchester County Historical Society (DCHS)\, will present his research on old Indian legends of Giants. You will learn of locally discovered tools and weapons\, old records and art that back-up the incredible stories from Indian tribes in the area\, and around the world. Mr. Crannell has family roots along the tributaries of the Choptank River. He has been the Curator of Native American Artifacts for DCHS\, and an active member of the Mid-Shore Archaeological Society for many years. Donations will be used for 2026 Native American programs at the Linchester Mill\, April 11th\, presented by the Leverton Hubbard Foundation and Caroline County Historical Society.
