SUMMARY:All of Life is Improv: Relearning to Play!
DESCRIPTION:Being able to laugh and connect with others is the elixir of life! And improv creates a safe space to engage in a collaborative\, creative environment where everyone’s got your back.  \nIn “All of Life is Improv”\, we’ll relearn how to play using the principles of improv: “Yes\, And”\, “There Are No Mistakes”\, and “Got Your Back”.  It’s like recess for adults\, where everyone’s picked for the team and we all share the games and laughs. Improv – taking the “gifts” we receive and building upon them – comes out of the theatrical arts\, but these games and skills help us to be resilient in our own life\, love and work. No skills needed. You don’t even need to be funny. Just bring an open mind and a willingness to make stuff up.

SUMMARY:Secrets & Backstories of the Constitutional Convention
DESCRIPTION:“Secrets and Backstories of the U.S. Constitution” offers a vivid\, behind‑the‑scenes look at the Constitutional Convention of 1787\, a gathering held entirely in secret inside the Pennsylvania Statehouse for nearly four intense months. \nThis session dives into the competing visions of government that collided in Philadelphia that summer\, and the strong-willed personalities who shaped the often heated debates that unfolded among 55 of the most consequential thinkers in American history. Alongside the famous moments\, you’ll uncover surprising\, lesser‑known episodes that reveal just how fragile — and visionary — this pivotal event in our history truly was.

SUMMARY:The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock
DESCRIPTION:T.S. Eliot\, an American who later became a British citizen\, reshaped modern literature with his bold\, unsettling\, and deeply human voice. Prufrock\, the opening poem of his 1917 debut collection\, was so unconventional that early publishers called it “absolutely insane.” Today\, it remains a touchstone of modernism—mysterious\, witty\, haunting\, and open to countless interpretations. \nSam VanNest and Suzanne Saunders\, known for their warm\, engaging teaching style\, will guide you through the poem’s inner world: a city gentleman wrestling with doubt\, longing\, and the fear of choosing wrong. Whether you’re new to Eliot or returning with fresh eyes\, this session promises clarity\, discovery\, and lively conversation.

SUMMARY:The Hidden Genius of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address
DESCRIPTION:Most of us can recite the opening line of the Gettysburg Address\, but far fewer understand why this brief speech has endured as one of the most powerful pieces of rhetoric in American history. Delivered at the dedication of the Gettysburg Soldiers’ Cemetery\, Lincoln’s remarks reshaped the nation’s understanding of sacrifice\, democracy\, and the meaning of the Civil War. \nIn this course\, we’ll uncover the craft behind the magic—Lincoln’s deliberate use of classical rhetorical techniques\, the ancient model that shaped the structure of the speech\, and the contemporary reactions that reveal how surprising and innovative it was at the time. You’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for the artistry behind a speech that continues to echo through generations.
