DESCRIPTION:Each spring\, as ospreys settle in for nesting season\, Greg Kearns heads out on his 22‑person pontoon boat to inspect nests and band young birds. This field trip offers a rare opportunity to accompany him on one of these trips during the nesting season.  If conditions allow\, it may even be possible to have a chance to hold a chick!  \nLearn more about the biology of ospreys up close and personal in their natural habitat along the Patuxent River in Prince Georges County during this field trip via carpool from Easton.
