Learn to paint! Beginners (and old hands that might be rusty) are welcome to join the Wednesday morning class under the guidance of Jane Bollman. Even though you “can’t draw a straight line with a ruler”, you will be surprised that you can learn to paint! You can give the class a try for a few weeks to see if you enjoy it. Yarn & Needle Group – Every Tuesday at 12:30pm. If you knit, crochet, needlepoint, felt or weave, this is the gathering for you. Practice your craft and bring your skills to others for a hour or two – whatever fits your schedule. Open to members at no cost. No registration necessary, just drop in. Thursday, November 3 – (12pm–1pm) Lunch/Music with Gene Edwards Review digital keyboard and vocal music, featuring a full array of amazing hits. A two-week advance sign-up is required for lunch or you may bring your own.

Monday, November, 7th, Wednesday, November 9th & Thursday November. 10th – (9:30am–11:30am) JEWELRY JOURNEY W/SUE STOCKMAN. Participants will learn simple metalsmithing and wire techniques to create wearable art and/or small sculptures that incorporate beads, glass, stone, and found objects. They’ll spend time creating and connecting with new and old friends. During the workshops, Sue also incorporates ways for participants to express themselves verbally as well as creatively through their work. Advance signup is required as space is limited. Must attend all 3 days.
Monday, November 7 – (12pm–1pm) Lunch/DJ CHUCKIE LOVE. Come out and enjoy the sounds of DJ Chuckie. A 2 week advance sign-up for lunch is required or you may bring your own lunch.
Tuesday, November 10 – (12:15pm– 1pm) Carpe Diem Arts presents MAGPIE: Terry Leonino and Greg Artzner. The ever-popular duo brings a cornucopia of songs for the harvest. Made possible by the generous support of the Talbot County Arts Council with revenues provided by the Maryland State Arts Council, the Mid-Shore Community Foundation (MSCF), Dock Street Foundation, Artistic Insights Fund, Brookletts Place, and by individual contributions to Carpe Diem Arts Outreach Fund c/o MSCF. A two-week advance sign-up is required for lunch or you may bring your own.
Monday, November 14- (12:15pm–1pm) Lunch & Learn w/Melanie. University of Maryland Shore Regional Health presents: Medication 101 with Melanie. Join Melanie Chapple, Pharm-D, transitions pharmacist at the Easton, Dorchester & Chestertown hospitals of Shore Regional Health as she gives tips on medication safety, medication organization and cost savings. A two-week advance sign-up is required for lunch.
Tuesday, November 15- (10am–11am) Free “BE THANKFUL MOBILE” Craft – Join us for Crafting with Tonia. Limited to 10 participants. Advance sign-up is required.
Thursday, November 17 – (9am–11:45am) NEEDLE FELTING W/LAURA RANKIN. Join us for a creative morning where participants will learn how to create 2D and 3D felted objects. Basic needle felting techniques that will be taught are: How to make a ball, a cone, a cylinder, and how to attach them to each other to make a figure; how to blend and add color and embellish your creation; how to use different templates to make 2D objects (ie. A felted brooch to wear.) All art supplies will be provided. The workshop is limited to 12 people.
Thursday, November 17 – (10am–1pm) Elder Law Clinic Attorneys will be present (by appointment only) to discuss legal issues pertaining to seniors to include: Elder Abuse, Adult Guardianship; homeowner and consumer related issues and much, much, more. Thursday, November 17 – (10:30am–12 noon) Join Tom Duncan/Financial Advisor with Bayspan Wealth Group for “Plan for the future: Maximizing your Social Security Benefits”. This seminar is intended for female audiences, but all can attend. You will learn ways to gain control over your financial situation; protect the people and things you love the most and make informed financial decisions. Advance signup is required as space is limited.
Thursday, November 17 – (12pm–1pm) Community Thanksgiving Luncheon w/Bay Country Chorus. A two-week advance signup is required for lunch.
Tuesday, November 29 – (10:30am–11:30am) “Positive Music w/DJ Randy P”. Reduce your weekly stress by enjoying a fun, safe, and positive musical experience in a motivation environment
