Talbot County Women’s Club Hosts Fourth Annual Candy Land Adventure Fundraiser at the Easton VFW
Talbot County Women’s Club is hosting its fourth annual Candy Land Adventure fundraiser along with crafts, pumpkin decorating, and games for kids, meet Queen Frostine, raffles, and story time on Saturday, October 26 at a new location – the VFW on Glebe Road in Easton.
The classic board game, Candy Land, will be brought to life in Easton offering all ages a chance to navigate through a life-size, fun-filled journey playing games in magical areas such as the Lollypop Woods, Peppermint Forest, and Gumdrop Mountain. Travel past the gingerbread house and meet Queen Frostine. Participants gather winning tickets to turn in for special prizes. The fun continues for the kids inside the VFW with crafts, pumpkin decorating, and story time. Adults can join the raffle of special themed baskets and explore handmade creations to purchase in the Candy Land Bazaar.
Profits from this magical event will help support the many missions of the club and help in the preservation of the club’s historic house in Easton. This year’s event will also support the nonprofit, Talbot Community Connections, which raises funds to enhance the Talbot County Department of Social Services (TCDSS) capacity to respond directly to problems of safety and well-being of county citizens.
“We are thrilled to support Talbot Community Connections this year. Their funds support children through the Talbot County Children’s Advocacy Center, families in crisis, the unemployed and working poor, and disabled and vulnerable adults – all concerns of our members and in line with our mission,” comments Natalie Slater Stamerro, President of the Talbot County Women’s Club.
This year’s event will be free for participants, although the Club hopes guests will donate to the Club that day.
