Valentine Pizazz with an Evening of Jazz

Celebrate Valentine’s Day and support the work of the St. Michaels Community Center, the heart of our community, as the Julie Parsons Project Jazz Trio takes the floor at the St. Michaels Community Center (SMCC) on Friday, February 13 at 7:00pm. With their silky smooth vocals and remarkable artistry, the trio effortlessly blends classic jazz traditions with modern sophistication, delivering a performance filled with romance and tireless melodies. This special performance will transform the lobby of the Center into an intimate cabaret setting where you will enjoy not only the mesmerizing sounds of the Julie Parsons Trio but also delight in sweet and savory nibbles prepared by the Center’s own Chef Michael paired with sips of sparkling wine.
Easton Maryland’s Julie Parsons has performed across the world in dozens of countries and countless venues bringing music and fun to the party wherever she goes. From romantic connections to the deep affection that builds communities and sustains us across generations, her music weaves together stories of love in many forms. This concert will feature Julie on piano and vocals, Chris Levey on bass and Mark Gadson on drums and is certain to offer a reflection of the power of community and music to build bridges between people, strengthen our common bonds and nurture our sense of belonging.
SMCC has been serving the needs of our local community for more than 35 years. In May, 2024 the organization cut the ribbon on a renovated facility and quickly went from providing needed meals and pantry bags, afterschool and summer camps and senior programming to becoming the social service hub for the entire Bay Hundred Area.
The Julie Parsons Project Jazz Trio—’connection, community and the heartbeat of human experience’ partnering with the Community Center of St. Michaels—’the heart of our local community’—an evening not to be missed!
