A street parade, welcome ceremony, a children’s village filled with games, prizes, face painting, learning experiences, a marketplace filled with food and retail vendors, live entertainment, a dance party, and Frederick Douglass Lecture by a leading author and editor, and much more. It’s a great day for families, teens, and history lovers.
