Talbot County Master Gardeners Announce Spring Native Plant Sale & Open House on May 14th

Master Gardeners and the University of Maryland Extension office in Talbot County are hosting a spring native plant sale and program open-house on Thursday, May 14th, 2026 at the UMD-Extension office in Easton (28577 Mary’s Ct, Easton, MD 21601) from 2:00pm – 6:00pm, rain or shine.
In addition to mingling with a group of passionate and knowledgeable gardeners, you can purchase native plants, ask questions about your landscape, or learn more about our “Bay-Wise” landscapes program. Visitors can seek advice about growing plants and providing friendly habitats for local wildlife like songbirds, butterflies, and bees. Master Gardeners are volunteers trained by the University of Maryland Extension and will help you make the right plant selection and recommendations. The native plant sale will feature six wonderful plants that improve landscapes and are adaptable to local conditions: bee balm, little bluestem grass, swamp milkweed, nodding onion, garden phlox ‘Jeana’, and narrow leaf mountainmint. The proceeds from this event will help support the many community projects and educational programs maintained by the Master Gardeners in Talbot County.
Visitors may also enjoy touring the Talbot County Extension office to learn more about the programs and resources available to our local community, such as nutrient management, 4-H youth clubs, and agricultural production. This is a family-friendly event open to all ages and groups.
