HEALTHY TILGHMAN 5K and 1 Mile RACE

Start lacing up your sneakers! The third annual Healthy Tilghman 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will take place on Saturday May 30th.
Runners and walkers will gather on picturesque Tilghman Island in Talbot County for this event, chip-timed by TCR Event Management. Participants will head out from Black Walnut Point Park at 4787 Black Walnut Point Road. Along the way, enjoy views of the Chesapeake Bay and its coves, historic buildings, eagles and osprey nests, and more.
This is one of the flattest courses you’ll ever run and has something for everyone. For an experienced runner, it’s a great race to strive for a personal record (PR). For beginners, it’s a great entry-point race to run or walk.
All finishers will receive a unique handcrafted oyster shell medal. Awards for the 5K will be given to those with the top times overall (male, female and masters) and in their age group (first through third places). Snacks and an opportunity to learn more about area health-oriented organizations will be available after the race.
Proceeds from the event support Healthy Tilghman, a non-profit that provides health-oriented programs, including counseling and substance abuse services, for the Bay Hundred region. Tilghman Island is known for its hospitality, nature, skipjacks, seafood and so much more!
Experience this beautiful place for yourself on May 30th as you support a great cause, do something healthy for yourself and have a lot of fun along the way!
