Effects of Alcohol and Nutrition

April 14 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

$50.00

Understanding the adverse effects of alcohol consumption and mitigating these effects with nutritional solutions.

Alcohol abuse is a well-known contributor to a shortened lifespan. However, by applying common-sense principles based on the broader science of food chemistry, we can help counteract this negative effect.

In this course, Steve identifies eight adverse effects of alcohol consumption, categorized into three groups:

1) Cellular Health
2) Hormonal Balance
3) Uptake and/or Loss of Vital Nutrients

The identification of the adverse effects and the corresponding nutritional solutions is rooted in the research and therapeutic protocols of Dr. Charles S. Lieber, the leading authority on the effects of alcohol on the body. Dr Lieber was a researcher and teaching professor at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and a practicing physician at the Veterans Hospital in the Bronx. Dr. Lieber and his colleagues identified these adverse effects and developed nutritional solutions for each.

The Effects of Alcohol and Nutrition is three (3) sessions, Tuesdays, April 15, 22 and 29th from 10:30 a.m. – 12 pm in person at Easton Family YMCA.  $50.  To register, visit https://chesapeakeforum.org
