Tred Avon Players proudly announces its 45th season, bringing an exciting lineup of live theater to Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Performed in collaboration with the Oxford Community Center, each production will take the stage at 200 Oxford Road in Oxford, Md. As winter settles over the Eastern Shore, a new source of warmth and wellness has arrived in St. Michaels. Balanced Care Physical Therapy—already well-known in the community for its compassionate, patient-centered rehabilitation services—has introduced a state-of-the-art ClearLight Sanctuary 2 infrared sauna, offering residents a soothing new way to relax, restore, and heal.

The Women & Girls Fund Award was established in 2004 to recognize and honor community members who have made outstanding contributions—whether professional or personal—toward understanding and addressing the needs of women and girls in the Mid-Shore region.

Hundreds of brave — and slightly chilly — souls are expected to gather at the Tred Avon Yacht Club on Saturday, February 7, 2026, for the fourth annual Oxford Plunge into the Tred Avon River, a mid-winter tradition that proves this small town has a very big heart. Participants of all ages will dash, dip, or dive into the icy waters in support of the Oxford Volunteer Fire Department and EMS (OVFD), which relies on donations to help fund life-saving equipment, training, and emergency services. Spectators are encouraged to line the waterfront, cheer on their favorite plungers, and enjoy the festive atmosphere complete with drinks, Doc’s Sunset Grille’s crab soup, and plenty of photo-worthy moments.

Families are invited to make memories at one of the region’s most beloved Christmas traditions: Breakfast with Santa, from 8–10am, Saturday, Dec. 13, at the waterfront Foxy’s Harbor Grille in St. Michaels. Limited tickets are just $10 per child, with advance purchase strongly recommended.

The Eastern Shore Writers Association (ESWA), in partnership with Kent Island’s Cult Classic Brewery, is proud to announce the first ever ESWA HOLIDAY BOOK FESTIVAL, taking place on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum will celebrate the magic of the holiday season on Saturday, Dec. 13, inviting the community to experience Winter on the Chesapeake on its waterfront campus from noon-7pm.
