The Talbot County Public Schools Education Foundation is pleased to announce that the 2025 “Mission Possible – Celebrating TCPS Alumni and Supporting Teachers” will be held on Friday, November 7 from at 5:30 – 8:00pm at the Oxford Community Center. Mrs. Eleanor “Tot” O’Mara, Easton High Class of 1967 and Mr. James Redman, retired TCPS Educator will serve as Mistress and Master of Ceremonies. The purpose of the event is to recognize TCPS Distinguished Alumni, celebrate Talbot County Public Education, and raise funds, awareness, and support for the Education Foundation.

Tides of Grace is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization rooted on Maryland’s Eastern Shore with a mission that runs deeper than simply meeting needs. We exist to bring hope, stability, and connection to individuals and families experiencing hardship — whether it’s a single moment of crisis or a long season of struggle. Through monthly outreach events, emergency response efforts, and compassion-driven programs, Tides of Grace creates a ripple effect of kindness that uplifts the entire community.

The Waterfowl Festival, one of the nation’s premier events dedicated to the celebration of waterfowl and the natural environment, returns to Easton, Maryland, on November 14-16, 2025. Celebrating its 54th year, the event offers a diverse range of activities that highlight the art, culture, and conservation of the Chesapeake Bay region.

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum will welcome more than 60 exhibitors from across the country to its waterfront campus on Saturday, Nov. 22, for the Holiday Edition of the Eastern Shore Sea Glass & Coastal Arts Festival.

The Chesapeake Film Festival launches its 18th season with an unforgettable Environmental Night on Friday, October 10 at the Ebenezer Theater in Easton, Maryland. The opening night program begins with the popular VIP Reception from 5:30 -7:00 pm. This year’s reception theme is “Tides and Talent”, reflecting the Festival’s eastern shore roots and its many regional festival contributors. All-access pass ticket holders are VIPs and will have the opportunity to meet filmmakers, enjoy local cuisine and celebrate opening night in style. All-Access Passes are now available at www.chesapeakefilmfestival.com. In addition to the VIP opening event, the pass includes admission to all films, speakers and panels throughout the three-day film festival.

In the coming weeks, each Town of Easton Ward representative will host a Town Hall Discussion open to the public. The discussions will serve to inform and educate the public on current and upcoming Town projects, and to have an open forum for public feedback.
