Tilghman Area Youth Association Announces New Youth Programs and Employment Opportunities

The Tilghman Area Youth Association (TAYA) is excited to announce the launch of several new youth programs for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. As part of its ongoing mission to unite youth, families, and the community, TAYA continues to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can grow and achieve their full potential through afterschool programs, scholarships, events, and services.
New Youth Programs:
TAYA is pleased to introduce enhancements to its flagship program, “Tilghman After School Kids” (TASK). This popular after school program will now be divided into two specialized tracks for grades pre-K to 2 and grades 3-15 to better cater to the diverse interests and needs of our youth.
In addition, TAYA is thrilled to announce a new partnership with the St. Michaels Community Center. This collaboration aims to expand and enhance the Future Pathways Program, which aims to enrich the middle school experience for students in the Bay Hundred area by igniting students’ passions through early exposure to technical and vocational fields.
Finally, TAYA will be launching a brand-new school readiness initiative designed specifically for children from birth to age 4. This program will offer playgroups for children and families similar to what was previously available through the St. Michaels Judy Learning Center. Play groups will focus on early childhood development, preparing young learners for future educational success.
Employment Opportunities:
To support these exciting new initiatives, TAYA is expanding its staff and is currently recruiting for the following part-time positions:
● TASK Program Coordinator
● TASK Program Instructor
● School Readiness Program Coordinator
● Future Pathways Program Coordinator
Interested candidates are encouraged to request position descriptions and salary ranges from TAYA Executive Director, Liz Gonzales. Inquiries can be made via email at tayadirector@gmail.com or by calling 410-226-6373.
