Easton Dog Park Opens off Brewers Lane Near Harrison Street

The Town of Easton is excited to announce the opening of the Easton Dog Park located off of Brewers Lane near Harrison Street.
The park now occupies a spot on a long-vacant plot of land off of Brewers Lane. Mayor Megan Cook said, “It is really great to be able to utilize this space in such a meaningful way. Dog owners will have a fun and safe way to take out their pups just a short walk from our downtown center.” Mayor Cook Added, “We’re certainly excited to see our furry friends (and their owners) put it to good use.”
The Easton Dog Park features several amenities that will make visitors and their dogs feel right at home. The park sports two separately closed-in areas, one for small dogs and one for large dogs, both covered in high-quality, low-maintenance synthetic turf. Each area of the park contains shaded spaces, sitting benches, watering stations, and dual gate entrances. Additionally, the park comes equipped with a public comfort station including bathrooms and a water fountain.
The dog park was a major piece of the bond project construction plan helmed by the duo of Town Engineer Rick VanEmburgh and Town Project Manager Kody Cario. They utilized bond money acquired in 2020 and helped to conceptualize the project, before working directly with Chester River Landscaping (artificial turf, fencing, and landscaping on inner areas), Willow Construction (comfort station), and Easton’s Public Works team throughout the entire construction process.
According to Project Manager Kody Cario, the park worked out even better than imagined. Cario said, “Our community has been looking forward to a dog park in our downtown area for a long time — we’re extremely proud to be able to deliver one that we think checks all the boxes.”
While the park is catered to dogs, Cario explained that there is at least one benefit for everyone. “With the addition of the public comfort station, this new facility gives a great benefit to all of our residents and visitors, not just dog-owners. It will be especially helpful during bustling downtown events,” he added.
