Author, John H. Gondeck Novel Ideal Book Fest Held on May 2nd
John was born and raised in the Baltimore area and graduated from Catonsville High School, signed up with the Army National Guard in 1966, met his wife, Alice and married in 1969. He and his family moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland in 1976 and he still resides in the house they bought and the home they built.
John started writing many years ago and his first book, Building Blocks to Great Faith, was published in September, 2010. This book encourages readers in building their faith in God and His word as he expounds on scriptures to help encourage and guide believers. The second book, The Rise and Fall of a Great Nation, was published in the Spring of 2012. He points out why many nations have risen in power and then declined. John shares some of the thoughts of great men that founded the United States of America, men that relied on God to lead them, men of prayer and conviction. The third book, Life at the Fifty Yard Line, was published in August of 2020. This book compares football and the game of life as he shows the importance of everyone who is born and the part they could and should play in the game of life. The game will come to an end someday.
A Novel Idea Book Fest will be held May 2, 2026 from 11am until 3pm at the 4-H Park, 8230 Detour Road, Denton MD and John Gondeck will be there for a book reading and signing. John’s latest book, “Lurking Monsters” was just published in January and is available on Barnes & Noble.
