NARFE Federal Health Benefits Update Event In Easton

Calling all Active and Retired Federal Employees! You’re invited to a Federal Health Benefits Update Event in Easton just in time for Open Season! Stop by the Talbot County Free library on 100 W. Dover St. on Tuesday November 10th, from 12:30 to 2:30 to get the scoop! Learn all that National Active and Retired Federal Employees can do for you!

NARFE is a non-partisan community. It’s the only group dedicated to fighting to protect your federal benefits, and helping you to navigate them. NARFE members enjoy many perks, access to webinars, as well as a monthly magazine. They get timely updates on legislation, and reports on how elected officials are voting regarding federal benefits. NARFE is a proactive resource covering many issues of interest to you.

Members often enjoy friendly chapter luncheons where guest speakers provide useful information on a variety of topics of the day. At our November event, our Chesapeake Bay Area Chapter team will introduce you to tools available to NARFE members, so they can review and compare health care options during open season. Our guest speaker, Hannah Halvorsen, Account consultant from CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, will review updates and options of BCBS federal plans, and take your questions.

Membership in NARFE is open to civilians who are, or will be eligible to receive an annuity or survivor annuity from federal retirement programs of any agency of the United States government. This includes current federal employees, retirees, spouses and surviving spouses of those eligible to join NARFE, former federal employees, and a former spouse entitled to a federal survivor annuity. Each new NARFE membership strengthens NARFE’S clout to preserve and protect your rights and benefits in Washington.
