Master Gardeners and the University of Maryland Extension office in Talbot County are hosting a spring native plant sale and program open-house on Thursday, May 14th, 2026 at the UMD-Extension office in Easton (28577 Mary’s Ct, Easton, MD 21601) from 2:00pm – 6:00pm, rain or shine.

Taste of Easton and Restaurant Week Arrives in Easton Taste of Easton, presented by Bluepoint Hospitality, kicks off on Sunday, April 26th, from 1 pm to 4 pm at the historic Tidewater Inn. Easton eateries like Bas Rouge, Legal Assets, The Wardroom, Tiger Lily, Hunters Tavern, and many others will be offering samples of their most beloved dishes, giving attendees a culinary tour of the town and a tempting preview of what’s to come during restaurant week. Attendees will also enjoy a delightful celebration with raffles for fantastic prizes, lively music, and delicious food.

Discover Easton is excited to announce the return of the May Day Flower Celebration in beautiful historic downtown Easton on May 1st and 2nd. Participating businesses will decorate their doors and windows with vibrant, award-winning floral displays, along with a large flower display at the entrance of Thompson Park in partnership with Chesapeake Blooms and the Garden Club of the Eastern Shore. Wreaths, baskets, planters, and arrangements will be ready for viewing on Friday, May 1st, at noon, and will remain on display throughout the weekend.

Come hear Kaitlyn Frase of Vintage Family Farms in Preston discuss life on her family’s heritage and heirloom homestead at the April 9 meeting of the Chesapeake Bay Herb Society. Kaitlyn’s farm specializes in cut flowers and flowertainment. They also grow heirloom vegetables to provide the community with local, fresh, sustainable products.

It’s the most joyous time of the year – Talbot Interfaith Shelter’s (TIS) annual Lip Sync Battle is officially underway! All the fun culminates in an epic live Lip Sync Battle extravaganza on Saturday, April 18th at 7 pm at the Talbot County Community Center in Easton.

On Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Talbot Thrive is working to make safe, connected mobility a reality in Talbot County. The nonprofit focuses on improving health, equity, and quality of life through better access to active transportation and community infrastructure. As part of the regional trails group, Maryland Eastern Shore Trail Network (MESTN), they see trails not as optional amenities, but as essential pathways to opportunity.
