Nominate a Community Member for Women & Girls Fund Award
The Women & Girls Fund Award was established in 2004 to recognize and honor community members who have made outstanding contributions—whether professional or personal—toward understanding and addressing the needs of women and girls in the Mid-Shore region.
Award recipients demonstrate leadership, vision, integrity, compassion, collaboration, and a generous commitment of time and talent in their efforts to improve the lives and opportunities of women and girls.
Each April, the award recipient is announced at the Grants and Awards Luncheon after thoughtful consideration of community nominations.
The 2025 Women & Girls Fund Award was presented to Kathy Deoudes of Queenstown, whose compassion, energy, vision, and leadership have made the Mid-Shore a better place to live. A tireless volunteer at every level, she has served in leadership roles including board chair of Compass Hospice, the Women & Girls Fund, and, most recently, UM Shore Regional Health.

In the years since, the Women & Girls Fund has honored: the late Harriet Critchlow; Sandra King; Dr. Maria Boria; Sister Patricia Gamgort, OSB; Tracy Davenport; Sandra Redd; Sara Jane Davidson; The Hon.
