Strutt Your Mutt for theAnimals of the Midshore

Come out and Strutt your Mutt for the animals of Talbot Humane at this year’s Oxford Day on April 27, 2024. The annual blessing of pets and dog walk are the best way to kick off the day’s events. Join other pet lovers in the blessing of the pets at 8:30am. Father Cross will be there to shed love and blessings that morning in the beautiful display of love and care for our best friends.
Immediately following the blessing, the dog walk begins! This is a family friendly event that leads participants through town showing your pup pride. The walk finishes in the center of town at Oxford Park where you can enter your pets in the Annual Fun Dog Show! Enter your pets in categories from longest tail to look-a-like; this is always a crowd favorite.
The dog walk helps support the work of Talbot Humane. Last year the open admission shelter received more than 1,000 animals into their care. The funds raised from this event go toward providing support for animals with extra needs, from orphaned day-old kittens to animals in need of surgery, treatment for chronic medical conditions and more.
This year thanks to a generous donor the event has a matching challenge. In memory of their beloved mother’s dog “Molly”, friends of the animals have offered a match of $1,500 for the event’s registrations and donations. The team at Talbot Humane is geared up and knows thanks to our community’s love of animals they will reach $3,000 and beyond at this year’s event!
Whether you prefer to join in person or virtually, there are options available for everyone. Please visit www.talbothumane.org for more information, to register in advance or donate to “Molly’s Challenge”. This is going to be a fantastic day for the animals of our community.
