Wye Parish Holiday Bazaar Celebrates 61st Anniversary at Old Wye Church

Festivities, food, shopping and entertainment are all part of the day as the Wye Parish Bazaar celebrates its 61st anniversary this autumn at Old Wye Church in Wye Mills.
The bazaar will be held Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 9am to 2pm. Visitors are invited to come out and enjoy the day in the beautiful historic setting of the fully-restored 1721 Old Wye Church. The event offers an opportunity to get an early start on holiday shopping, tour the church, and enjoy lunch at the café.
There will be plenty happening throughout the day. Special features of this year’s bazaar include a performance by the Queen Anne’s Chorale in the church and a Town Crier leading church tours. Whether stopping by for a performance, exploring the church, spending some time shopping, or enjoying lunch, visitors can make an enjoyable day of the many activities being offered.
Holiday shoppers will have a variety of display areas to browse. The Sweet & Savory Shoppe, with its homemade specialty items, and the Bake Sale with its cakes, cookies and pies, are two of the featured attractions. Bulbs & Blooms offers winter blooming plants – amaryllis, Christmas cactus, paper whites – all of which make great holiday gifts. New this year is the Toy Shop, where you can make sure the youngsters on your list have happy surprises beneath the tree and in their stockings. Other shopping stops are Jewelry & Handbags, Handmade Items, and the well-stocked Christmas Gift Books Cottage. Adding in the multi-item Silent Auction, there will be plenty to explore as the holiday season approaches.
Visitors can take a break from shopping and enjoy lunch at the café. Here regular patrons will remember fondly the tasty homemade food items. The ladies of the church serve soups, their famous chicken salad, and country ham and biscuits.
Combining shopping, dining, entertainment, and a unique opportunity to see the historic church, the bazaar provides several ways to enjoy the day while visiting Wye Mills.
The Wye Parish Bazaar will take place at Old Wye Church, 14114 Old Wye Mill Road, Wye Mills, Maryland 21679. For more information about the event, call 410-827-8484.
