A Family Affair at Oxford Fine Arts
The Oxford Fine Arts 2026 show is May 15th through the 17th, and this year it is a “family affair” for three artists who have been juried into the show.
Easton resident Pat Lang, oil painter, and her partner Steve Sirota who works in wire art, along with her daughter Lisa Scarbath, mosaic artist, are excited to be included in this year’s show.
Pat is primarily a self-taught artist who began oil painting in her teens, learning through trial and error, and later visiting galleries to study works by famous artists to observe their techniques. She has been exhibiting and selling her work at art shows throughout Maryland over the past 50 years.
Steve made his first wire art piece for his father’s 50th birthday many years ago. After many years working for the Department of Defense, owning his own business and working in the retail auto parts business, he retired and once again was motivated again to pursue his creativity with wire.
Lisa is a Resident Artist with the Howard County Arts Council in Ellicott City, MD. She creates 2D and 3D fine art mosaics using a variety of materials from glass, stone, broken dishes to natural and found objects, Lisa composes, designs and cuts her pieces in a way that encourages the viewer to see something new every time they look at her work.
The Oxford Community Center, located at 200 Oxford Road, Oxford, MD, celebrates a variety of art for sale by both local and regional artists. Pat, Steve and Lisa work in very diverse mediums, which adds to their appreciation and excitement to be included this year and to showcase their own individual, unique talents.
This year’s show kicks off with a preview party on May 15th at 6pm with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and awards. Tickets are available at https://oxfordcc.org/2026-oxford-fine-arts/#. The show continues through the weekend on May 16th and 17th.
