The Easton Economic Development Corporation (Easton EDC) announced that downtown Easton will host a Vintage & Antique Markets Day on Saturday, August 8, 2026, inviting locals and visitors to explore one of the Eastern Shore’s largest concentrations of antique, vintage, and consignment shops — within a walkable historic downtown and throughout Easton.

Talbot County Government officially opened Station 95, a new emergency medical services station in Cordova that will improve emergency response times for residents in the northern portion of Talbot County while expanding the County’s emergency preparedness capabilities.

The Easton Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) is pleased to announce the opportunity for a Mature Woman’s Grant to females age 25 and over who are residents of one of the following Maryland counties: Kent, Queen Anne’s, Caroline, Talbot or Dorchester.

Long before sunrise, local watermen head onto the Chesapeake Bay, where knowledge passed from one generation to the next guides every decision—from reading the weather to understanding the seasonal movements of oysters, crabs, and fish. Their work is physically demanding, economically uncertain, and deeply connected to the health of the Bay, yet it remains one of Maryland’s most enduring maritime traditions.

The St. Michaels Community Center (SMCC) is pleased to announce the installation of new bicycle racks at both the Community Center (103 Railroad Ave.) and Treasure Cove Thrift Shop (100 N. Talbot St.), thanks to the generosity of the Rotary Club of St. Michaels and the expertise of Easton Cycle and Sport.

Easton residents won’t have to wait much longer to get their hands on Zaxby’s famous chicken fingers and wings. The popular quick-service restaurant chain is scheduled to open its newest location in July at 8275 Ocean Gateway in Easton, the former Wendy’s site along U.S. Route 50.
